Jack was brought up in a religious setting in Upstate New Your where his Dad was a preacher.
Foll Who Are Jack and Carol Riggle?
owing university schooling, Jack married and was introduced to the building business through a large plumbing and electrical supply wholesaler where he provided needed products to builders including central vacuum cleaners.
This led Jack to a large tool manufacturer which included those same central vacuum cleaners. One of the large clients was a regional builder, Levitt & Sons – that led to a several year marketing career with home builders in the metro Washington-Baltimore region,
Jack re-married the love of his life, Carol as the building business continued. There was a time when builders, nationwide, were able to sell their model homes to an investor. Jack joined the investment company and was one of seven senior executives. During the time there it bought a savings and loan company, which ultimately became its undoing.
Shortly after that time Jack re-joined the building business as a marketing executive.
During that time Jack & Carol purchased an investment home in the Outer Banks and held it for ten rental seasons. It was also during that time that Jack got his real estate license.
In 1999 Jack and Carol ‘escaped’ the metro Washington market and moved to the Outer Banks where they have excelled in real estate, both as owner, investor and sales professionals.
Carol and Jack married in 1979. Carol has the creative touch and had been working with several builders in the Metro Washington market; she moved to the real estate business as the executive ‘right arm to the owner of Long and Foster. During that time, she began talking with agents and prospective agents about affiliating with L&F. Her successes led to her developing the very first real estate recruiting department in the US, with a VP title. Over the years that followed she began speaking to real estate companies throughout the US and advising them how to establish their own recruiting groups. She became known as the “mother of recruiting.”
As we moved to the Outer Banks Carol also became licensed and together, they add a great deal to any transaction, Carol brings her design and marketing capabilities to all clients, whether buying or selling.
This all sounds pretty good right? Well, there have been many ups and downs along the way mentally, financially and emotionally. Just when you see retirement within reach, the market crashes and the losses suffered were innumerable. What next? You start all over again and rely on what you know and what you have learned along the way. Yes, things do change but doing what you know does not. That’s where we are and we’re ready to share all that we know with our buyers and sellers. Just maybe, it’s you!!
